Stone Gaze of Medusa is a Scatter Pays slot, which means you don't have any win lines to worry about. Instead, a minimum of 8 symbols form a matching group and create a win.
It's possible to get more than 15 symbols in a collective combo to produce the biggest payouts. The lowest payers are the coloured jewels with 7.5x as the maximum for a group of 15. Picture symbols offer much better returns with up to 50x available for 15 or more shield symbols. Winning symbols don't hang around as new ones will come and take their place. This type of cascading system lets you potentially create another win as the new symbols drop down.
Dark blue stones with a gold, ornate frame help to increase your wins thanks to their multiplier values. They can land anywhere on the grid and produce anything from x2 to 1,000x. One of my favourite elements of this game is how uninterested Medusa is! The graphics are nice enough with our snake goddess to the right of the reels and your tumble win and multiplier boxes to the left. The symbols are decent and the background is a crisp depiction of a set of stairs that lead away from this snake-filled pit. With such a large grid, I was worried that mobile gameplay might feel a little cluttered but I couldn't have been more wrong! It looked fantastic on my Android device, so top marks there.
