What is Boomerang's Side Strike feature?

The Origins of Side Strike

Back in April of 2022, Boomerang Studios released Rise of the Valkryie Splitz which would completely change the future of slot releases for them. This game seems quite standard on the surface with 5-reels and 15,552 ways to win as well as a common mythical theme.

However, this game contains the first instance of the unique Side Strike feature (also known as Side Bet) which completely enhances the experience for the players without doing anything overly complicated.

What is Side Strike?

Ultimately, this feature allows players to place two different bets throughout spins. The first one is the normal one which all other online slots have where players set the bet level usually between 0.10 to 50.00 in most Boomerang Studios slots.

However, there is now an added bet with Side Strike which can be found at the bottom right of the screen. This allows players to select a green or red chip with bets starting at 1.00 and being able to climb up to 100.00.

The red chip appears on the first reel, whilst the green chip appears on the final reel. Only one colour can be selected and wins are awarded if two of the same colour of the selected chips appear on the reels. This often increases the RTP of the game to tremendous highs as well.
