Arena of Gods: Rise of Medusa Review
Greek myths can be extremely complicated but everyone knows that Zeus is ultimately the 'leader' of the Gods. No one defies him and everyone must obey his orders. Sadly, Medusa did not get the memo and decided to challenge him to battle.
This is all showcased in Rabcat Gambling's Arena of Gods: Rise of Medusa. With Duel Spins and Medusa Wilds, you'll be witnessing the greatest fight in no time. Of course, if you play your cards right, you could even be rewarded with wins of up to 5,970x stake.
Design
Like most Rabcat slots, this game contains amazing graphics that could rival a video game. All the models are in 3D and look extremely polished. As the name suggests, you'll find Medusa and other Greek mythical characters throughout.
Zeus stands tall next to the reels and looks incredibly angry - you do definitely not want to mess with him. He is animated throughout spins and shows off why you do not want to get him angry.
As for the overall visuals, it feels like the telling of a story rather than a slot. This paired with the grand epic orchestral score just cements this.
Gameplay
Unfortunately, there's not too much going on in terms of the gameplay but that does not make the slot bland in any way. Arena of Gods: Rise of Medusa contains a Duel Spin mechanic.
When expanded Medusa symbols land on the reel, the Duel Spin is activated. This moves Medusa around with a multiplier until she reaches reel 1. It's incredibly simple but quite rewarding when it happens.
Win Potential
There is nothing overly special about the win potential in this slot but that does not mean that it's necessarily bad. The RTP is above average at 96.10% which is quite shocking for Rabcat as they tend to go under the average. Suffice to say, we were impressed.
Following this, the medium volatility slot has a maximum win of 5,970x the stake. This is nothing massive but it'll certainly deliver some satisfying wins throughout with the Duel Spins.
Our Verdict
Arena of Gods: Rise of Medusa is decent enough for a slot. Like most other Rabcat slots, the visuals are absolutely stunning and definitely show a high level of detail. Sadly, we would've preferred something more throughout the gameplay.
Whilst we did not hate the Duel Spins, we definitely felt like there was a lack of additional features. Despite this, Arena of Gods: Rise of Medusa is a great game that does offer some tense moments. It's definitely worth a spin if you love mythical slots.
