Rueda De Chilli Review
Who doesn't love bright and colourful slots? If you are one of the many people that absolutely love vibrant slots bursting with life, then Evoplay's Rueda De Chilli is the slot for you.
Inspired by The Day of the Dead festival, Rueda De Chilli takes place in a Mexican graveyard but it's not all doom and gloom. Throughout the slot, you celebrate life through various features and colourful moments giving you precisely what you need for a Mexican slot.
Design
As soon as the slot opens, you are greeted by vibrant colours. Behind the reels is a graveyard but all of the tombs are bright with wonderful designs on them. There are a few bunting strips in the background as well accompanied by roses and candles to really set the theme.
All the symbols on the reels look like they could be from a high-quality Disney film as the mariachi looks like Ernesto de la Cruz from Coco. Similarly, the rest of the symbols are done to great quality and add value to the slot.
Sadly, throughout our playthrough, we had some issues with sound - but this was a demo issue. When the music plays, it's absolutely magical with a mariachi band and just makes you want to dance! The quality of this slot is just stellar.
Gameplay
After so many revolutionary slots from Evoplay, it's shocking to see quite a normal game for them. Despite this, the game is still excellent and definitely appeals to more traditional players with the layout and the features.
Rueda De Chilli has a common set-up with the menus as the spin button and bet level buttons can be found at the bottom of the screen. At the bottom left, is where players will find additional information such as the paytable.
Win Potential
Unfortunately, the win potential for this slot does feel quite lacking. Firstly, there is an RTP that is under the average at 95.95% which is ridiculous. It's so close to 96% but frustratingly so.
With an under-the-average RTP, you'd expect the maximum win to be huge. Sadly, the biggest win in this slot is 3,000x the stake which will be throughout the bonus round.
Our Verdict
Rueda De Chilli could've easily been one of the best Mexican slots out there - but is let down by the win potential. The design is an absolute vision and the gameplay manages to deliver something refreshing to an oversaturated genre.
However, it's worth mentioning that the win potential may not be great, but it still decent enough to be overlooked if you love Mexican slots overflowing with flare.
