The Catrina symbol is a 3-row one that only appears on the 1st reel. Covering all three positions on the 1st reel will trigger Catrina's Magic. When this feature is activated, up to 3 rows will be added above 2 to 5 reels. Each money symbol on adjacent reels will award the cash value or jackpot.
Everything in this slot builds up to the bonus wheel. When 3 wheel scatters land on the reels, the bonus wheel is triggered. This can award between 5 to 20 free spins or one of the fixed jackpots.
If free spins are selected, then Catrina's Magic is activated adding 3 rows above 2 to 5 reels. Catrina can also throw up to 3 money symbols in random positions.

Sadly, throughout our playthrough, we had some issues with sound - but this was a demo issue. When the music plays, it's absolutely magical with a mariachi band and just makes you want to dance! The quality of this slot is just stellar.
After so many revolutionary slots from Evoplay, it's shocking to see quite a normal game for them. Despite this, the game is still excellent and definitely appeals to more traditional players with the layout and the features.

Unfortunately, the win potential for this slot does feel quite lacking. Firstly, there is an RTP that is under the average at 95.95% which is ridiculous. It's so close to 96% but frustratingly so.
With an under-the-average RTP, you'd expect the maximum win to be huge. Sadly, the biggest win in this slot is 3,000x the stake which will be throughout the bonus round.
Rueda De Chilli could've easily been one of the best Mexican slots out there - but is let down by the win potential. The design is an absolute vision and the gameplay manages to deliver something refreshing to an oversaturated genre.
However, it's worth mentioning that the win potential may not be great, but it still decent enough to be overlooked if you love Mexican slots overflowing with flare.
