The 6x5 grid area is a big fruity beast presenting a plethora of payouts from standard symbols and a little assistance from a multiplier ladder. The smaller fruit gums will fetch you wins worth between 0.3x and 4x and the larger sweets pay up to 6x. Picture symbols will grab you wins between 1.5x and 50x.
A minimum of eight symbols are required to form a matching combo but they don't have to touch in any way or land along a pay line. This scatter pays creation means that the more matching symbols you see anywhere on the grid, the higher your payout will grow. 8 matching symbols is the minimum but it could be up to 30 matching symbols on a good day.

Other symbols exist to help improve your experience and one of the best is the multiplier boost symbol. The number shown on the symbol is the same number of steps that you'll move up the multiplier ladder. The multiplying ladder is the lynchpin of this creation and without it, those payouts wouldn't be noteworthy at all. The base game provided me with some reasonable wins, which usually fluctuated between 0.5x and 2x but the occasional bigger reward did grace the grid.
The bonus game is certainly the most valuable area and it's going to be tempting for players outside the UK to take Push Gaming up on their offer of a direct bonus buy-in. I felt a little cheated as the multiplier ladder continues to reset after a losing cascade but then the strikeout feature kicks in and you start to feel a little better about things once again. 750x is a massive outlay but it treated me to a 1,570x reward at the end of my 12 free spins.
The design is possibly the least exciting part of this slot and we've seen it a million times before. Bright, fruity-looking symbols and pink fluffy clouds that are good enough to eat combine with a fairly generic synth track to make this a completely unforgettable setup. The sounds get a little more frantic during the bonus game but other than that, nothing really stands out. One thing I will say for Candy Blast is that it isn't overly complicated and you can play without any issues on smaller mobile screens as well.
You've seen most of these elements before but perhaps the strikeout feature is a new one for many of us.
